LOS ANGELES, CA, November 7, 2023. RiskPointGlobal.com announced today that Pamela J. Newman, Ph.D., has joined its Non-Management Advisory Board. Ms. Newman has extensive experience in all aspects of insurance brokerage and risk management and is involved today in strategy consulting. She was an Executive Vice President at Aon from 1993 to 2017, and was a Managing Director at Marsh & McLennan from 1979 to 1993. She was a Manager with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. from 1973 to 1979. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations; a Board Member of the College of Mount Saint Vincent; and serves on the Advisory Board of Brock Capital, LLC. She is Chairwoman of the Advisory Board of Mereo Advisors and is a member of the Board of Governors for New York Risk Exchange (NYREX). She is also on the Board of Directors for the Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths (RID). She is Past President of the Financial Woman’s Association of New York. On October 20, 2017, she was appointed by the Acting Secretary of the Army, as a Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army (CASA) for New York South. She is the author of Organizational Communication (McGraw Hill) and Behind Closed Doors: a Guide to Effective Meetings, (Prentice Hall), and Leadership is Doing, published by Outskirts Press and distributed on Amazon. She is the recipient of many awards that include The Charles Evans Award from the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation. She was the first recipient of the Business Insurance Women to Watch Inspiration Award, and was the recipient of the John Cabot University Presidential Medal for Leadership in Business in 2017. She has been honored by the College of Mount Saint Vincent and in 2015, was selected as the Insurance Advocate’s Insurance Professional of the Year. She was also honored by the UJA-Federation and the Arthritis Foundation. In 2012, she received the Humanitarian Award from the New York Center for Living and was awarded the Distinguished Woman of the Year award from the Greater New York Council of the Boy Scouts of America. She earned her B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from The University of Michigan. During her years in academia, she received a three-year teaching fellowship and was awarded the Horace A. Rackham Doctoral Research Grant. She is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PJN Strategies, LLC, a boutique strategic consulting firm (PJN Strategies).
